Latta Plantation: A Day of Relaxation

Before our 8th levels headed out on their holiday break, we took a trip back to Latta Plantation to look at the final results of their hard work during a stream rejuvenation project. Here is just a few glances into this day...

Sustainable Life

Nothing comes easy, especially when it comes to growing produce in a garden. With little time lately to spend in our garden, other than maintenance of the seeds planted, we are happy to say that there is life sprouting. 

For everyone to see, and appreciate, here is a picture of the lettuce and kale that we picked yesterday from our garden. Presentation is everything in food, so I took the produce home to dress it up and taste (figured it would be best if I end up with something rather than the kids ha).

I'm happy to say that this is just the start and we look forward to January when we can get out in our gardens, harvest some compost, and share our wealth with others.
